Mr. Nihal Mudalige of Sri Lanka alongwith Mr. Dinesh Mishra, representing M/s Mondial Orient Ltd. visited the Display Centre. Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Vice President (North) IFCOMA formally greeted the team and explained about various IFCOMA activities. During discussions, Mr. Mudalige informed that his company had carried out business of US$ 1.2 Billion covering India, Bangladesh, China, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Korea, Indonesia etc. and were now looking for good quality shoe components from India.

They were already sourcing shoes from different part of the country and expected business above 10 million euros in 2007. IFCOMA members, who had specially gathered to meet the Mondial team explained the speculative growth the Component Industry has undertaken in India in last 4 to 5 years alongwith the further expansion and R & D projects which would further strengthen, not only the component industry, but also the complete footwear segment in India.

The team visited the Display Shelves where the available members explained their displayed products. Mr. Nihal Mudalige while visiting the Centre, appreciated the range and quality of the components being manufactured by the Indian Footwear Component industries.

He was very much appreciative of this unique concepts adopted by IFCOMA to display all components under one roof, which shall help the footwear industry in general to meet their design and sourcing requirements.

The Mondial Team collected some of the samples, catalogues and visiting cards for future reference and direct interactions with the companies. He also agreed to send his team to IFCOMA Display Centre more often to observe newer trends displayed in the shelves.
