IFCOMA organized its 10th Buyer Seller Meet (BSM) cum Exhibition of Footwear Components & Accessories at Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai on 15th & 16th April 2018. The Event was marked by great enthusiasm from the participants representing the multifold components sector from various cities including Agra, Noida, Kanpur, Chennai, Mumbai & other locations from all over India

The BSM cum exhibition was inaugurated by Shri Naresh Bhasin, Chairman (Western Region) CLE by lighting of the lamp and cutting of Ribbon at the Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai. The BSM was graced by auspicious presence of Shri HR Malik, Shri Asif Merchant, Chairman, All India Footwear Manufacturers & Retailers Association & Shri Kallu Bhai and many other leading manufacturers from the Industry. The AIFMRA .

The two day Exhibition attracted exhibitors from all over India with a strength of 50 nos. of participants companies with 65 stalls comprising of component manufacturers & suppliers including reputed machinery suppliers from Delhi and Mumbai . After the inauguration of the BSM a technical presentation was done by the three members of IFCOMA illustrating about the innovations & technicality of their products addressing the queries raised by the Industry members.

Post the presentation VOXLAW agency gave illustrative presentation Govt’s initiative on the outlay of 2600 crores laid out for the Leather & Footwear industry including the IDLS Scheme. The presentation was attended by an audience of over 300 nos.

During the Exhibition most of the footwear components viz. Soles in PU/TR/TPR/Rubber & PVC , Moulded Heels, Heel plates, Insoles, Toe puff and Counters , EVA Sheets, Footbeds, Finished Leathers , Cutting Dies, Varnishes & Pigments, Dye Solutions, Narrow woven elastics, Narrow woven belts, Bonded Leather, Rubber sheets, water based adhesives, Reinforcement tapes, Shoe Finishes & Chemicals, Shoe Interlinings, Foams and allied products, Finished Bonded Leather, Shoe Buckles & Trims, Laminated fabrics, Moulded Cup socks, fabrics, Latex/PU Foam, Fur linings, EVA Laminated fabrics etc. were on Display. Besides machines used in making Footwear & Leathergoods were also on display.

The BSM was successful with more than 500 Footwear & Leathergoods manufacturers visited the fair and appreciated the efforts of IFCOMA. They were pleased to see a broad spectrum of products/components available in display and serving their needs & requirements.

The dignitaries included visitors Mr Asif Merchant, Managing Director, Catwalk, Technical team from Ram Fashion, Senior officials of Sambena, 8V shoes, Zara Footwear & Metro Shoes visited the BSM. The Visitors generally appreciated the fair and the participation of various members with difference types of components.

Mr Naresh Bhasin appreciated the efforts of IFCOMA for organising a very useful event for the benefit of the Industry. Mr Asif Merchant emphasised that there is a need for closer interactions between the component suppliers and Footwear manufacturers and such BSM’s help to the cause.

Mr HR Malik, the doyen of the Industry, appreciated the participant’s motivation & he made an appeal to the exhibitors of the Mumbai BSM and the component Industry as a whole for bringing up improvised components and improving upon price & delivery.

The other visitors for the Industry appreciated the availability of variety of components. They were happy to see the latest range of products that were put on display. Exhibitors also showed great enthusiasm to find the Exhibition of substance and meaningful for the Business. The BSM ended on a sound note.
