Your suggestions, supports and interest in the building of such stores are invited immediately.
Our efforts for proper recognition of Non Leather Footwear and Non Leather Footwear Components has been well accepted by the Government. Under a notification issued by the Ministry of Commerce, the Non Leather Footwear has recently been brought under the purview of Council of Leather Exports which is headed by Sri N. K. Agarwal of Action Shoes. I am confident of similar consideration to our request for the recognition of Non Leather Footwear Components in the near future.
In an another development, our proposal to have a DISPLAY CENTRE for Footwear Components and Accessories at FDDI has been approved by the Ministry of Commerce and accordingly a Steering Committee headed by the Chairman, FDDI has been formed including Mr. Sanjay Gupta and Mr. Rajiv Rastogi representing IFCOMA in it.
I am very thankful to the trade and the fair organiser for accepting our two years pending proposal to include Leather and Machinery at the Delhi Fair. Participation and active role of Punjab Leather Association and ILGA became the added pillars to strengthen this fair in future. I am also grateful to our members and associates for their collective efforts without which IFCOMA events would not have been so colourful.
In the mean time, please make sure of your participation in the regional "Buyers - Sellers Meet cum Exhibition" to be held at Ludhiana on 21/22 August, Calcutta during November and Kanpur in the month of December. IFCOMA is also going to participate for the first time at GDS and more than 12 companies are likely to display in 80 sq mtr area planned under the Indian Pavillion.
