Much-awaited 4th Mumbai–BSM opened with great enthusiasm at Nehru Centre, Worli – Mumbai. The eventful Buyer Seller Meet was organized by IFCOMA from 18th July to 19th July’2004 . Right from day One stream of visitors from different locations could be witnessed to reach the BSM Venue.
The BSM cum Awareness Programme was inaugurated by Mr Naresh Bhasin, MD M/s Ram Exports, Mumbai, alongwith honourable guests Shri P.Rudran,Mr S.S.Mukherjee,
Director,Chairman SISI, Mumbai, Mr K.S.Nagi founder President IFCOMA and Mr B.D.Bhaiya & Mr. Ketan Sanghavi Vice-President IFCOMA .
In his welcome address, Mr BD Bhaiya (Vice-President – IFCOMA) emphasized the need an importance of Buyer Seller meet, stating this type of meet gives an opportunity to direct interaction between the Shoe Industries and Component Industries. Industry is now quite mature and in a position to meet all the requirements of Shoe Industries as per international standard.The target fixed by the Govt. of India for the growth of Shoe Industries can only be achieved if there is a proper interaction between the Shoe Industries and Component Industries. Mr. B D Bhaiya assured the Industry on behalf of IFCOMA members that we will rise to any occasion to become the partner in progress to achieve the ultimate objective set.

Mr. Naresh Bhasin,MD M/s Ram Exports expressed that IFCOMA BSMs are need of the hour. The continuation of such efforts by IFCOMA will go a long way to serve the needs of the Footwear Industry.

He also emphasized that the dedication of exporters would play a key role towards Quality manufacturing, merchandising & boosting of the economy. He applauded the IFCOMA endeavours to bring all the components under one roof for the benefit of the Shoe Industry. He wished all success to IFCOMA in its future programmes and events.
Mr P.Rudran, GM,SIDBI praised the efforts being done by IFCOMA to organize such events. He expressed that such fairs helps the Industry to grow faster.s

He underlined the need of quality manufacturing to come to terms with the Globalisation and WTO Standards so as to make our product of International Quality. He also emphasized the need for reduction in cost of material and other expenses. Mr Rudran called upon the participants and other Businessmen to utilize the services of SIDBIv. He also informed that SIDBI has marked Rs. 10,000.00 to be disbursed in 2 years time i.e. 2004-2005 & 2005-2006 .
While concluding his speech he wished all the best to IFCOMA participants to achieve the best mileage during the Mumbai-BSM interactions for modernization & expansion.
Mr S.S.Mukherjee, Director , praised IFCOMA for its concerted effort & focussed approach to launch such awareness programmes at Agra, Kolkata & Mumbai. He felt that such events are the need of the hour and continuous promotion will hold the key to growth of the Industry.
