As a customary tradition of IFCOMA, recognizing the contribution of individuals in the field of Footwear Manufacturing, Mr. Irshad Mirza was
adjudged the winner of Excellence Award.
He was honoured by IFCOMA with an "Excellence Award" presented by the Chief Guest Shri Chanchal Tewary.
IFCOMA President Shri Mani Almal presented him a shawl for his outstanding and continuous endeavours in bringing India in the Global map of distinctive achievements.

Mr. Irshad Mirza was invited to the podium to address the huge gathering eager to hear him.
He expressed that it is very pleasant to see IFCOMA BSM to grow from a small stature to this level.
Certainly the role that IFCOMA has played in the past 4-5 years deserves much greater accolades to bring the Component Industry together under one roof
and helping them grow and reach newer heights. He observed that the scenario has changed and with an impressive performance of the local Component industry in the past few years.
The quantum of imports has declined drastically and further their hardship has given a fillip to growth of the Industry.

Mr. Nazar Mohd. , the first chairman of the local (kanpur) council for leather exports was also felicitated for his extra ordinary contribution towards the enrichment and growth of the leather and footwear industry.
Finally, Chief Guest Chanchal Kumar Tiwari, IAS was invited for his speech and the inaugural address of the Kanpur BSM'2004. Shri Chanchal Kumar Tewari expressed that he was delighted to visit this grand exhibition and the fourth BSM of IFCOMA and thankful to the eminent personalities of the industry.
He praised IFCOMA for their strong objective of creating awareness, providing information about the trade and updating the Shoe Industry about the latest developments through such exhibitions.
He insisted that the Footwear & Component Industry should focus upon the quality and compatibility of their product against the products of other countries as it is a free trade now and everyone has to compete on International level considering the world as a Global Village
especially after implementation of WTO agreement. He assured that he would ensure the best support from the UP Govt. comes to benefit of the Industry.
He wished a good success to the BSM and urged the Shoe Industry to utilize the opportunity of getting all the information about the component sector under one umbrella during the ongoing Exhibition.

Mr. Vipan Seth, Vice President, IFCOMA extended vote of thanks to the Chief Guest, Guest of honours and the eminent dignitaries from the Industry.
The chief guest was invited to inaugurate the BSM by lighting of lamp and cutting the ribbon.
IFCOMA's 21st BSM and fourth at Kanpur drew a very encouraging and positive response from the Shoe & allied Industry.
There were over 1100 visitors, who registered their entry during the two days of the event. The print and electronic media covered the event depicting the successful show.
