The 14th Buyers-Sellers Meet (BSM) cum exhibition of footwear components and 3rd such event in Kanpur, was held on 16th & 17th December 2002, at hotel Landmark, Kanpur.

The BSM was inaugurated by lighting of the lamp by Shri R.N. Trivedi, Managing Director, UPFC, the Nodal Officer Kanpur Economic Zone, at 1.00 p.m. on 16th December 2002. Shri Rakesh Suri, Chairman Central Zone CLE also graced the occasion by his presence.

Over 60 footwear components manufacturers from all over India exhibited their products. More than 500 footwear manufacturers, traders, artisans and exporters visited the exhibition. Some of the prominent visitors were from companies like Super Tannery Ltd., Suri Shoes, Mirza Tanners Ltd., Euro Footwear Ltd., Indian Tanning Industries, Al Waqia Shoes Co., Northern Tannery, Capson Continental, Super House Leathers Ltd. etc.

The BSM was very well covered by the media, press and the local TV channel. The participants were quite satis fied with the visitors to the BSM and more then Rs. one crore worth of orders were booked during the BSM.
