The 9th International Delhi Shoe Fair 2001 was organized by ITPO & actively supported by the Delhi Shoe Fair Committee, Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), National Leather Development Programme (NLDP), Council For Leather Exports (CLE) and Indian Footwear Components Manufacturer Association (IFCOMA).

Shri Omar Abdullah, Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India, inaugurated the fair at 10.00 a.m. on 29th June 2001 in the presence of Shrimati Rathi Vinay Jha, Chairman cum Managing Director, ITPO, Shri Irshad Mirza, Chairman, CLE and other distinguished guests.
