He said that BSM is a very strong & important medium of interaction between the members of both the sides of the Industry. They can meet and discuss to resolve difficult path hindering the process of devlopment and improvement. This should be organized regularly to see that Industry as a whole moves forward.
He observed that the current scenario has reached to the level wherein we have to fight a war jointly against the competition coming from China end.

For this the component Industry has to make top class quality materials, which will serve as the weapons. Price factor is equally an important issue to tackle.
The scope of growth has increased for considering the fact that component & Machinery manufacturers are closing
down in Europe and interested to join hands with Indian counterparts. Volume
achievement is the key to our growth. Our exports of Rs. 2000 crores has to
travel a greater distance of reaching 20,000 Crores to compete with that of
China.

The Chief Guest Shri S.Audisessiah felt extremely happy to be among the IFCOMA members and was delighted to be in Agra-the hub of footwear activity. This also gave him an opportunity to meet the Agra Footwear Manufacturers, Exporters & the Industry people.
He termed the Agra BSM as a Great Occasion to discuss the concerning issues with the industry & share ideas for the overall growth.
He expressed that CLE has recently appraised the Planning Commission about the Component Industry’s issues regarding rationalisation of excise from 16% to 8% and from 8% to Zero level. While this will take some time he has suggested Component manufacturers to introspect and concentrate on the following : -
- to reap the benefits of the component park in AGRA and Chennai.
- upgrade the quality of the product to meet Global benchmark.
- Work out the cost efficiency to be more competitive against countries like China.
- Should adhere to quick response time while developing the product.

While deliberating on the success of China, he analyzed their plus points as follows: -
- Higher productivity
(Plus 30-35% over all)
- Economies of Scale
- Volumes
- Profit Margins of hardly 2-3%

But he was confident that in spite of all the above India has the potential of overtaking China, as the labour cost in our country is much cheaper. Hidden Subsidies in China are slowly phasing out. He assured IFCOMA members that Indian Govt. is also serious about the predicament of the Component Industry and things will take better shape in near future.
Third Edition of “IFCOMA newsletter” and “IFCOMA Brochure” was unveiled & introduced by the Chief Guest and further distriubuted among the distinguished members of the audience.
Shri Audisessiah also presented the hounours of “Excellence Award” for his great contribution towards the growth of footwear Industry to ‘Mr L.N.Kapoor’. He was then presented a shawl by Mr. Vipan Seth, Vice-President(Central) IFCOMA. Mr. L.N.Kapoor was very thankful to IFCOMA. He expressed his emotions that it is a great and prestigious honour from IFCOMA, which has been conferred to him. The Regard, love and affection bestowed upon by IFCOMA would make him reach greater Milestones of achievements. He was in full praise of IFCOMA and termed the excellence award as ‘innovative-trend’,’ style’ and ‘fashion’.
Award for the best display Stand was presented to M/s Sanghavi Shoe Accessories by Shri Puran Dawar, MD, M/s Dawar Exports.
Finally, Vote of thanks was extended by Shri B.D. Bhaiya, Vice President (East),IFCOMA. The 4th Buyer seller meet at AGRA was then inaugurated with honorable Guests lighting the lamp jointly and by cutting of ribbon.
