Reacting to the development of mould highlighted by IFCOMA president, Mr Ehsanuzzaman informed that Bata India Ltd. is looking for international standard moulds to substitute their import dependence from Italy. Mr. S S Kumar appraised of the mixed scenario of Indian leather products in the global market.
Honorable Chief Guest Shri Somnath Chatterjee assured support of WBIDC and from the Govt. of West Bengal for the development of the industry. He said that this Exhibition has been very informative of its high potentials and its vast relation with diversified industries.
IFCOMA - Mumbai BSM
IFCOMA - 16th BSM 03 at Nehru Center Mumbai made strong impact with a new look. The 3rd BSM at Mumbai and 16th in a row, IFCOMA event of Awareness Programme and Buyer Seller Meet at the Nehru Centre on 20th and 21st July was seen with totally a new look and approach. The ground floor 6000 sq ft air-conditioned hall was well upgraded and built with stands for participants coming from all over India giving new look to the IFCOMA BSM events when compared with past display on tables.
The BSM cum Awareness Programme was inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Guest Dr Bhagwan Sahai,Development Commissioner (Industry), Govt. Of Maharastra along with Honorable Guests Shri H.R.Malik - Rg Chairman - CLE and Mr R. Rudran Chief G.Mgr.- SIDBI Mumbai in the presence of other guests, Invitee participants & members on 20th July at 1 pm.

IFCOMA new fair timings concept for BSM of 1 pm to 7 pm on Sunday (started at Kolkata BSM 03) was well praised here too and did showed results when large number of visitors were seen coming conveniently at the late hours after doing their work. There were 73 participants, with 440 numbers of business visitor, it broke all past records of Mumbai events.
Honourable Chief Guest Dr Sahai in his address requested the Mumbai industries to interact with his office and also with the regional office of the Govt. to make them aware of the problem faced by them. He asked IFCOMA to submit detail proposal for "One Stop Display cum Resource Centre" and assured to consider it.
CLE - IFCOMA DELEGATION TO DHAKA
A delegation of IFCOMA members with the Regional Director Council For Leather Exports visited Dhaka from 10th -13th August for attending the Buyers Sellers Meet and also for the presentation on Free Trade Agreement before the Bangladesh India Chamber of Commerce & Industry organized by FICCI.
