According to Shri Mani Almal, President, Indian Footwear
Component Manufactures Association (IFCOMA) and other
members of the BSM Team, Bangladesh is a growing market
which is reposing confidence on the mechanized footwear
manufacturers and exporters.
The Industries are engaged in the
medium to upper price segments of the footwear market.
According to him, there are around 20 footwear manufacturing
units exporting shoes from Bangladesh to Europe, USA and
Japan.
There are many un-organized footwear and safety shoe
units in Bangladesh, which offer business opportunities for the
Indian Footwear Components and accessories sector.
