A Buyer Seller Meet (BSM) for Footwear Components was organized at the Conference Room of the Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FBCCO) at Dhaka in Bangladesh on 13^th August, 2003, co-including with one-to-one meeting fixed by FICCI and the FBCCI.

Earlier, a display of Indian footwear components was organized on the occasion of the 5^th meeting of the Bangladesh-India Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BICCI) at Hotel Purbani International, Dhaka on 12^th August, 2003.

Mr Amir Kosru Mahmud Chowdhury, M. P. Hon'ble Minister of Commerce, Govt of Bangladesh, Mr. Yusuf Abdullah Harun, President, FBCCI, Dr. A. C. Muthiah President, FICCI and Co-Chairman, BICCI, Mr. Vikram Thapar, President, Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Mr. S.N Aggarwal, Vice-President. SAARC Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Mr. Dillip Sinha, Acting High Commissioner of India, Bangladesh visited the display of footwear components organize by the members of the BSM Team, along with other prominent trade and Government representatives of India and Bangladesh.

The Hon'ble Commerce Minister after having brief interaction with the Indian Team, assured all assistance for enhancing trade relations between the concerned industry groups of the two countries.
